With the COVID-19/ Coronavirus pandemic still in full swing and much of the world continues to grapple with its effects, photography during the global pandemic remains a challenge that you should navigate carefully the moment you feel ready to give it a shot.
During the Covid-19/Coronavirus Lock-down I did a photography project – photographing Isaya Evans the casting director and an Actor on the New normal, where the tissues /toilet papers became more useful and the lemons were scarce, hiking the prices at the iGabantu Studios, Formerly Hillcrest Academy, 209 State House Rd, Nairobi. Lack of routine can be challenging at these times. There will be an extended period of adjustment to this new normal and uncertain world pandemic. Everyday activities have assumed a greater significance and I have set myself the challenge to take an interesting and different photograph each day to try and show this. The challenge is to consider what to photograph and when and keep the project style consistent. I want to capture what under normal circumstances would be a trivial subject and elevate it to this new significance.
Model– Isaya Evans ~In reality, being a creative is rough, tough, uncertain and full of challenges… sometimes you want to give up. But, not exactly for a boy whose first ever role was as a DOOR. Seeing the other kids sing, dance happily past me (as I stood as a door in a kindergarten role play), created a spark in me, “I didn’t have to be the shy boy anymore!”. I knew I had to be out there… never to be chained on one spot again! Fast forward to campus. Amidst chasing after my degree in a different field, my love for arts still stood out, while lying to myself acting was just but a hobby, it finally stole (my limelight and my heart). After graduation, I got a job which I quit barely a week after ; I wasn’t going to be a door again in this story of life…
If you’re a professional photographer, you might find yourself with canceled bookings due to Coronavirus/Covid-19. You also might find yourself questioning whether or not you should keep that upcoming photography excursion you’ve been planning for the past year.

“People always ask me what the latest fashion trends are, but I’m not a believer in trends. Individuality is more important to me, to stand out and have the confidence to wear something you’re comfortable in – it just happens. I’m comfortable wearing a suit.” – David Gandy
One button suits are among the most common men suits in Kenya, especially among jazz musicians. They are considered a shift from the traditional styles that came with two or more buttons. Fashion designers argue that one button suits are meant for evening social events. They are also considered to work best for slim and medium sized men, and should always be buttoned when you are standing.

Sometimes Life Happens or famously said well as “Shit Happens”. Today you are up and life is great whether scripted on high end branded foolscap or as it goes on., though you cant always be happy or be crushing black forest cake every now and then, otherwise the cavity will be your friend.
Sometimes you face challenges either mentally or physically whether you are good at planning or not, it does happens and hits hard than expected. At the end of the day, what count most is how you respond…
