ADVENTURESOMENESS

Always plan to get things done in a good manner, but sometimes they don’t turn the way you had expected. We embarked to do a location or rather an outdoor shoot; the journey to Limuru and its outskirts Tigoni and Kabuku was very nice since their habitats haven’t decided to pollute it. The location was beautiful and at first, I thought it should be one on the list of tourist attractions, but I was guessing because of its locality it would be unwise to protect it from the habitat. I had equipped myself for the shoot, but stuff does happen, just after setting up everything and being ready to click to get my first exposure my triggers started misbehaving, I hadn’t planned to use natural light which means I had to stretch my limits get things in a proper way. Tried changing the batteries but nothing changed until I decided to use my pop-up flash to trigger the other speed lights, wasn’t getting a good quality of light but at least somehow was controlling the ambient light and getting split light on the side though would have loved to light the tunnel since it was too dark, and didn’t like to be like was indoors since the essence of looking for a location was to enhance the environment and break the studio monotony. Anyway after doing some post-production on photos am happy with the results but am yet to get satisfied, which pushes me to re-visit the site and re-shoot to see whether this time will get what was back on my mind. This time will equip me more than a soldier and have a back just in case the accessories start misbehaving. This is technology you never know, and I hear just like a human being they have got a life span, which most of the time is wrongly estimated. Location  Buxton tunnel limuru

Buxton Tunnel in Limuru, which is among the longest train tunnels in Kenya. The tunnel is estimated to be around 2Km but very few can actually go beyond 20 meters due to the total darkness in the tunnel.
