A little insight into your wedding day (FAQ)

Your wedding is the most emotional and exciting day of your life and naturally you want to capture every moment of it.  By now the church and venue are booked, your dress purchased and your bridal bouquet on order, leaving you to find the perfect photographer for your occasion. Here’s my guide to your perfect day and what you can expect from me!

My style is classic and contemporary, but with an edge. My portfolio is bursting with REAL WEDDINGS; what you see is what you get and no models are used to promote my wedding photography!

Yes, I travel anywhere in Kenya or the world at large.

Yes, yes and yes!  An experienced and detail-oriented coordinator will make your day so much more enjoyable.  We have seen many disasters averted at the wave of a good coordinator’s magic wand.

In the event of bad weather, we are happy to continue to shoot in the rain if you are, but normally we would search for a sheltered area or locate an area indoors or even wait for a break in the weather. However, we would always have a Plan B.

We will appoint a date to meet up and discuss everything YOU WANT for your photography. This is the ideal chance for you to tell me YOUR plans and ideas. This is also a perfect time for you to view more of my work and see my style of photography first hand. No hard sell and no obligations, just a friendly chat that will hopefully help you determine that I am indeed right for you.

Simply call or send me an email to confirm you would like me as your photographer, and I will send out my online booking forms for you to complete and return along with a 40% deposit to secure your date, this secures my services and your date and makes it unavailable to other couples.. Your date may well be a year away or even longer so please do feel free to friend me on Facebook, Whatsapp me or follow me on Instagram. It’s a great way to keep up to date with my recent work and we can always chat there if you feel you need to!

If you like my photographic style please don’t hesitate to contact me by calling or emailing me to confirm your date is available. Likewise, if you have a few questions I’m always here to help.

This isn’t just what we do – it’s who we are. We put our hearts and souls into every wedding.  Yes, we’re perfectionists, but in the best sense.  We take on a limited number of weddings each year so we can create the best experience for our clients.  Photographing your wedding isn’t just about showing up and taking pictures.  It’s about collaborating to create images that are not only beautiful but more importantly, meaningful.  This process starts from our first meeting.  When you look at the big picture, what you are paying for isn’t just our artistic vision; it’s our dedication to you and your wedding.

Why, of course!  Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events that bring all your people together, and all those details you spent so much time planning are expressions of your style.

In the very unlikely event I cannot make it to your day, I will provide an alternative photographer of the same or higher calibre.

Yes, I have full indemnity and liability insurance.

Do you really need a second bowl of ice cream? An E shoot is when we meet up on a pre-designated date before your wedding where we take photographs of you and your partner, to know each other a little and finding out your likes and dislikes-shoot can be beneficial if you’re not too confident in front of camera.

I use professional Canon equipment. I carry two Canon 6D with a selection of L series lenses (some of the best lenses money can buy). I also bring lighting along in the event of bad weather and/or we have to shoot inside in low lighting conditions.

Each and every one of your images is edited and enhanced to look their best. They will be presented to you in a USB folio at a high resolution for you to print yourself, along with full print rights and proof of permission to show any print labs or shops. The digital images will be ready within approximately 2 to 3 weeks after your wedding, (this may take longer in peek season) although we always aim to give you them earlier if at all possible.

Once your images have been enhanced and edited, they will be uploaded onto your own personal secure pass-worded gallery, available for you and all of your friends to view (optional). This is an opportunity for you to choose your favourite images for inclusion in your album and it is within this time that I begin to create your draft. Once completed, I will send you an electronic version of your album as a PDF file for you to view and approve. Album build times vary depending on busy periods but on average it takes 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. Every wedding is unique and my aim is to capture the true essence of it. All of your images will be fully edited and enhanced and presented as a true documentation of your wedding from beginning to end. I simply offer modern stylish wedding photography at its best!

Yes, of course! In fact I encourage you to do so. I will even supply you with small resolution versions for that very purpose!

We live in a digital age.  Most of our pictures are online and we look at these images on our phones and computers. We remember most of them only about as long as we are looking at them.  An album is the exact opposite of the transient nature of the Internet.  It is the embodiment of the best day of your life, full of so much love and memories.  Whether you are looking at the album for the first time or your grandchildren pick it up 40 years later, all of that love and happiness will still be right there, in your album.  It is probably one of the most meaningful luxuries you will ever invest in.

There is no limit to the amount of pictures you will receive, but a typical wedding be anything from 300 to 500+ photographs.

It’s exactly what it says, I start when you do, from the bridal preparations (optional) up to the end of the reception and usually till just after the first dance, depending on your chosen package.

I can be there starting from the bridal preparations – capturing the excitement of the bridal party and emotions of the proud mum and dad – along with the final details of what makes your wedding unique. Groom preparations are also available on request (included when 2nd photographer is chosen at an additional cost).

Nerves and anticipation of the groom and the arrival of the bridal party are captured along with candid journalistic-style shots of your guests. Your full ceremony will be covered, although this is subject to permission from the registrar, please ensure you discuss with your chosen registrar what photography they allow during the service. After the ceremony comes the time when we capture the good wishes from your guests as they congratulate you, resulting in beautiful and natural style photographs. As your guests then relax and enjoy your day, we will have an opportunity to wander around the grounds and capture your wedding portraiture; it is also a time when you can have a few moments to yourselves. We capture a mixture of romantic, fun, and intimate shots for you both to treasure. I stay throughout your day to record the cutting of the cake, the speeches, and anything else that may unfold. I will stay up until your first dance in case you agree to our terms and conditions, ensuring you can look back and see all the emotions and splendors as it happened.

I’m sorry, but no. I only offer full day packages from morning till evening and any discounts would be unfair on other clients.

My approach is to show you a true and natural record of all that happens with each and every emotion, the happy, the sad, the hugs, the laughter and the tears and to show you what you were too distracted to see. Please do contact me if you have any questions that may not be answered here!
