Distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara
Masai Mara national reserve is located 280 Kilometers away on the Northwest of the Kenya’s capital city Nairobi. One can access the reserve through Road or flights. If one is using road its one of the scenic drive one can have, the road is good till when you bypass the Maasai town Narok town when the road is rough and it will take you like one to two hours drive to enter the reserve.
You will have stop overs at the good view of the Great Rift Valley, craft shopping and other interactions with the local communities as opposed to flights. The road takes a drive of 5 to 6 hours depending on the stops you get on the way as you enjoy African experience
For air transport, daily scheduled flights operate from Wilson airport in Nairobi to the major airfields (6) in the Masai national reserve which will take little time between 40 to 45 minutes and you enter to the park where the driver guide will meet you and drive you to the lodge to check in with en route game drive.
