Safari ya Umoja, Christmas in Africa is a resilience that is rooted in our humble beginnings and lives to this day. As we implant our fraternity through African stories, village projects, and the Christmas Bowl, we are on a road of unity and togetherness. By discovering, expressing, and honoring the different African cultures, we may advance both as people and as a nation. Rimpa is located approximately 25 km southwest of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, on the edge of the great Rift Valley, bordered to the west by fantastic views of Ngong Hills and to the north by the Kiserian River.

Rimpa is a Maasai word, coined by its founder, literally meaning ‘a place of no lack’ – a paradise. Rimpa is a livestock breeding ranch that dates back 60+years supporting our local community with improved Dorper sheep and Simmental bull breeds.

Due to Rimpa’s proximity to the Nairobi National Park and our importance as a wildlife dispersal area, Rimpa has recently been licensed as a conservancy. Rimpa’s mission is to protect and preserve a sustainable ecosystem, in partnership with the neighboring community, for all of the endangered wildlife in the ever-disappearing corridors.

We believe in a holistic approach that allows tourism, ranching, and other enterprise to exist together in harmony, building local livelihoods while sustaining ecosystem integrity.
