Mambrui Dunes is a hidden gem with spectacular white and the only dunes in Kenya. It is located on both sides of Malindi-Lamu Highway, 6 Km from Malindi town and 21 minutes from Malindi International Airport. Along the characteristic road that takes you to Mambrui lined with numerous and huge baobabs, opens a view to the outfall of the Sabaki River, a source of irrigation for many plantations along the area. The beautiful dunes which almost get into the sea are impressive at sunset. With a little bit of luck, you can meet the family of hippos.

Mambrui Dunes is a hidden gem with spectacular white and the only dunes in Kenya. It is located on both sides of Malindi-Lamu Highway, 6 Km from Malindi town and 21 minutes from Malindi International Airport. This is a unique site unknown to many people with a golden sandy beach in Mambrui. The place is very beautiful, expansive, and private. There are very few people who visit the place and is therefore ideal for couples.
It is a chill place to be and has a few restaurants around.
You could also carry your food. We had a picnic by the beach.
The coastal dunes are one of the coastal ecosystems in the Malindi District, which borders the Indian Ocean. The dunes between Malindi and Mambrui town extend to over about 10 km and cover an area of about 700 ha.
