SOLACE
Day in and day out, things happen occasionally and some are planned or others did randomly. Sometimes they say you fail to plan you are planning to fail, but in real life—ain`t that always serious as it is stated? Back to our photography journey especially concerning the solace concept. The main theme/concept or the planned shoot concept was supposed to highlight or be part of the cancer campaign come the month of October, but again as I started shooting and the kind of light setup I had already arranged, I thought for a second time why don’t I try and enhance the low lighting something which always trickles my mind since the photos leave emotional mood which you can’t run away from, more than the slit lighting also trying to create some illusion, especially on the two high contrast black and white images showing the body parts since they say human body itself is an art. Thank LORD the model’s skin tones were dark, letting us for once appreciate our color. Black is beauty, no debate about that, and in case you want to debate with me, I will be glad to hear from you the other side of the story. I guess it’s a game of probability, you either have a head or tail, my contacts are all over, no need to ask for one. She was too cooperative considering that I hadn’t briefed her on what we were shooting. Yes, it is good to plan and share the ideas with your team but again things/stuff do happen and you are left in for a rude shock, meaning we should be really flexible for unseen things. Actually sometimes not always the random stuff does force someone into the comfort cocoon and try new things-imagine if the students knew how the exam will be. There won’t be a need of studying hard or smart as it is argued.
