Currently, I have found myself doing more weddings as compared to fashion and portraiture than there before. Something which I`m still struggling to decide whether to concrete only with the wedding or push the three and let them complement each other. Anyway, I have got a few days before I start writing my New Year’s Resolutions, this is the time you call upon God`s help to have a clear path from the crossroads. Through the weddings I have come across many interesting couples, some like having engagement shoots (pre-wedding shoots) while others make it simply not to do so and wait for their big day…But we do insist it is worth doing it. By doing so, we strive so much to have unique pictures hence posing the couple differently from the previous shoot.

Through this, I have learned a lot about how to interact with people and control their emotions when things don’t work out as they were expected to. Contrary to the fashion and portraiture photographer—you can have a plan with your model and create an interesting storyboard to enhance a particular theme during the shoot and when things don’t work out you can still repeat till you perfect what you are trying to achieve with a limited time, but for the wedding, you don’t have time, the only way you can achieve that is during the engagement shoot, but during the wedding ceremony, you create the story for the day as the event unfolds hence you can dare to mess up—since you create lifetime memories.

That’s why I’m a big fan of couples posing and having natural moments during the session to this, I have learned a lot about poses such as leaning in for an almost kiss—you let the couple at least share the kiss, sometimes a kiss can get a little messy or funny looking, so keep in looking for that super romantic.
